The collection features distinctive patterns, specifically curated to complement a wide variety of tile styles and color palettes while bringing personality, artistry, and joy to every mahjong gathering. From soft watercolor washes to intricate pattern work, each mat brings warmth, beauty, and a refined aesthetic to the table. Featuring rich color reproduction and exceptional detail, every design beautifully captures the depth, movement, and painterly character of the original artwork.
Proudly designed and printed in the United States, each mat reflects a commitment to quality craftsmanship, artisanal design, and exceptional attention to detail. From the original artwork to the final printed product, every mat is created by women-led creative and production teams, celebrating creativity, entrepreneurship, and the connections that make gathering around the table so special.
Crafted from premium, ultra-thin leatherette with a subtle pebbled texture, these mats offer a luxurious look and feel while remaining exceptionally practical. The lightweight, low-profile construction lays beautifully flat, rolls effortlessly for storage, and provides a smooth, comfortable playing surface. A textured back allows for subtle sound-softening properties creating a quieter, more enjoyable mahjong experience.
Each 33" x 33" mat arrives in a fabric storage bag, making it easy to protect, transport, and enjoy wherever game night takes you. Vibrant colors, sophisticated patterns, and artist-created designs make these mats equally at home on a game table or displayed as part of your décor between gatherings.

The Artist Collective
This design is part of the Let’s Be Besties Artist Collective, our growing group of collaborations with independent artists.
Each collaboration brings an artist’s distinct style into our world of mahjong mats. Alongside our in-house designs, these pieces offer more patterns to fall for, more stories to discover, and more ways to make the table yours.
Care Instructions
Wipe your mahjong mat with a soft cloth dampened with water. Avoid machine washing, abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, and prolonged sun exposure.

Beautiful to look at. Made to play on.
The design catches your eye, and the playing surface makes itself at home in your weekly game. Here’s how our mat materials compare.
Neoprene
Our neoprene mats are perfect if comfort is your top priority. They give tiles a smooth surface to move across, with enough control to keep play comfortable. A non-slip foundation helps the mat stay in place, while the material softens tile noise and helps protect your tabletop from scratches and wear.
Leatherette
Lightweight and ultra-thin, our leatherette mats have a subtle pebbled texture and a low profile on the table. They lay flat for play and roll easily for storage, with a textured back that helps soften the sound of tiles. They're ideal if aesthetics and maintenance are your top priorities.
Together Is the Point
Let’s Be Besties began with our founder Laurie’s love of mahjong and everything around it: the creativity, the tablescapes, and the time with friends.
We bring artful design and a personal touch to the table, making everyday gatherings feel like an occasion. A beautiful table is the invitation. The real gift is the joy shared around it.
