The Artist Collective
This design is part of the Letโs Be Besties Artist Collective, our growing group of collaborations with independent artists.
Each collaboration brings an artistโs distinct style into our world of mahjong mats. Alongside our in-house designs, these pieces offer more patterns to fall for, more stories to discover, and more ways to make the table yours.
Care Instructions
Wipe your mahjong mat with a soft cloth dampened with water. Avoid machine washing, abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, and prolonged sun exposure.
Store your mat rolled to help prevent creases, and keep it in its included bag between games. For an extra storage option, our clear Bestie Bag holds up to two rolled mats, up to 33.5 inches wide, with a zippered closure and reinforced handle for carrying or hanging.
Shipping & Returns
Your mat is printed to order in the USA and will ship within 1โ2 weeks. All mats ship rolled with a carry bag, except travel mats.
Have a particular game date or gift deadline in mind? Contact us before ordering to check timing.
Because our mahjong mats are printed to order, they are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. If yours arrives damaged, email laurie@letsbebesties.com within 3 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the mat and packaging. For any other issue, please reach out so we can help.
Beautiful to look at. Made to play on.
The design catches your eye, and the playing surface makes itself at home in your weekly game. Hereโs how our mat materials compare.
Neoprene
Our neoprene mats are perfect if comfort is your top priority. They give tiles a smooth surface to move across, with enough control to keep play comfortable. A non-slip foundation helps the mat stay in place, while the material softens tile noise and helps protect your tabletop from scratches and wear.
Leatherette
Lightweight and ultra-thin, our leatherette mats have a subtle pebbled texture and a low profile on the table. They lay flat for play and roll easily for storage, with a textured back that helps soften the sound of tiles. They're ideal if aesthetics and maintenance are your top priorities.
Together Is the Point
Letโs Be Besties began with our founder Laurieโs love of mahjong and everything around it: the creativity, the tablescapes, and the time with friends.
We bring artful design and a personal touch to the table, making everyday gatherings feel like an occasion. A beautiful table is the invitation. The real gift is the joy shared around it.
This is absolutely the most beautiful and unique mat I've seen so far. I enjoy using it for each of my Mahjong meet ups.
